Citrix - Known Issue: Can't Access Project or Visio

Issue/Question

How do I access Project or Visio through Citrix?

Environment

• Student
• Citrix Apps or Citrix Desktop

Cause

Project and Visio are not available through Citrix Apps to the general OSU community due to licensing constraints. These applications are also not available in Campus Labs.

Resolution

The following alternative options are available:

• Students in the College of Engineering can access Project and Visio through apps.oregonstate.edu. Engineering students must first sign up for TEACH.
• Students in the College of Business have access to Project and Visio through Imagine - see msdnaa.bus.oregonstate.edu.
• Some employees have access to Project and Visio through the MS campus license (see list of departments participating here).

Other alternatives:

• Open source tools such as LibreOffice Draw have some of the same functionality as Visio.
